# FAQ: Why is your plugin (switcher) not working?

*The Transcy language/currency switcher is a crucial tool for providing a localized experience for your international customers. If you're encountering issues with the switcher not displaying or functioning correctly, here's a simple troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem:*

## 1. Verify App Embeds are Enabled:

The most common reason for a non-functioning switcher is that the necessary app embeds are disabled within your Shopify theme settings.

* Navigate to your **Shopify admin panel**.
* Go to "**Online Store**" *→ *"**Themes**"
* Click "**Customize**" on your active theme
* In the theme editor, look for "**App embeds**" or a similar section (the exact name may vary depending on your theme).
* Ensure that the **Transcy app embed** is **enabled** (the toggle switch should be turned on).
* Save your changes

Transcy offers different display modes for the switcher. If it's not set to "**Everyone**," it might not be visible to all visitors
* Open your **Transcy app** within your **Shopify admin**
* Go to the "**Switcher** **setting**"
* Locate the "**Display Mode**" setting.
* Ensure it is set to "**Everyone**."
* Save your changes.
