# How to activate the Free Plan

We know that starting with a free plan is a great way to explore a new app and understand the differences between tiers before committing to a paid subscription, and sometimes, you might not see this free plan option

## Free Plan when onboarding page
When you first visit Transcy or install Transcy, you'll land on our onboarding page, and to navigate the Free plan, you can follow these steps:
**->** Click on **"See a smaller or larger plan"** at the bottom

-> After that you will see a "**Compare plans**" table that show all pricing, scroll down to the last page and click "**or Start with the free plan**"

-> Click "**Keep Free plan**" to start your journey with our Transcy Free plan

## Free Plan when you want to downgrade
To downgrade from a paid plan to the Free Plan, please follow these steps
* Go to "**Account & Settings**" → "**Change plan**" → Scroll down and navigate to "**Temporary financial constraints or not ready yet?** **Downgrade to free plan**"

## Important Notes
Please keep in mind that the Free plan has limited functionality, so you won't be able to explore all of Transcy's features. If you want to experience everything Transcy has to offer, we recommend trying our **7-day free trial** available with all paid plans.
