|| When you add a language, it's automatically set as Non-editable by default.

|| Please note: If multiple markets share the same domain setting as the Primary market/domain, any language you add to one market will automatically be added to all other markets using that domain.

### 2. Understanding language types

**Transcy** offers two language configuration types:

* **Non-editable language**: Basic language display with limited customization options
* **Editable language**: Full integration with Shopify Markets, allowing comprehensive customization and management

If you need **Editable language** functionality but it's not available in your current plan, consider upgrading to access these advanced features.

|| Paid plans offer two language types: Non-editable and Editable languages. Only Editable languages appearing in the "Content Translation" interface

## II. Manage languages

### 1. Publishing and configuring language settings

Once you've added languages, you'll need to publish and configure them to make them visible to your customers:

**Publishing your languages:**
→ Go to "**Market management"**
→ On the bottom, click on "**Languages**"
→ You'll see all your added **target languages** listed
→ **Turn ON** the toggle button next to each language you want to publish

→ Click "**Three dot**"
→ Simply click on the language you want to make the change
→ "**Disable translation edits**" to became **Non-editable language**
→ "**Enable translation edits**" to became **Editable language**

**Bulk management options:** You can efficiently manage multiple languages at once by:

* **Bulk selecting** multiple languages using the checkboxes
* Accessing the **action menu** to perform operations like Enable/Disable or Remove
* **Individual management** by clicking on specific languages for targeted actions

|| If you want to unpublish or remove a language that's set as the default language for some markets, you'll need to make this change directly in your Shopify Markets settings first.

### 2. Customizing language appearance

Make your language selector truly yours by customizing how each language appears to your customers:

**Customization steps:**
→ Go to "**Markets"**
→ On the bottom, click on "**Languages**"
→ **Hover** over your target language in the language list
→ Click "**Three dot**" when it appears
→ Choose "**Edit format**"
→ **Customize the following elements**:
* **Language name**: The English display name
* **Short name**: Abbreviated version (e.g., "EN" for English)
* **Native name**: How the language appears in its own script (e.g., "Español" for Spanish)
* **Flag icon**: Choose the appropriate flag representation
