## I. What's Shopify Markets

**Shopify Markets** is a powerful feature that lets you create customized shopping experiences for different regions and countries. Think of it as creating separate storefronts for different parts of the world - each tailored to local preferences and requirements.

With Shopify Markets, you can:
* Target specific countries or regions
* Group multiple countries together for easier management
* Offer localized experiences to boost international sales

For detailed setup instructions, check out [Shopify's official guide](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/managing).

### Domain Setup Options

Each Shopify market offers three ways to handle domains and languages:

* [Primary domain only](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/managing-international-domains#set-up-target-markets-using-your-primary-domain-only) - Use your main domain for all markets
* [Domain or subdomain](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/managing-international-domains#set-up-target-markets-using-domains-or-subdomains) - Create separate domains like "uk.yourstore.com"
* [Subfolder](https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/international/managing-international-domains#set-up-target-markets-using-subfolders) - Use paths like "yourstore.com/uk"

From here, you can easily add and configure languages and currencies for each of your markets, ensuring **Transcy** works perfectly with your Shopify Markets setup.

|| Note:
|| For security reasons, you can't remove markets directly in the Transcy app. To remove markets, you'll need to do it through your Shopify Markets settings. Also, new markets should be created in Shopify first, then they'll automatically appear in Transcy.
