# How to Remove or Unpublish Target Languages in Transcy

*This guide will help you understand how to remove or unpublish specific target languages from your Shopify store using **Transcy**. Understanding the difference between these two removal options will help you manage your store's languages more effectively while maintaining a seamless shopping experience for your customers.*

## 1. REMOVING THE TARGET LANGUAGE ON MANAGE LANGUAGE SECTION

* Go to "**Market management**" menu → "**Languages**" tab → Select the needed target language to remove

|| When you delete a target language that has already been translated in Transcy, this action permanently removes all translations for this language from both our database and your Shopify system.

* In case you remove a language which is the default market language of some of your markets, there will be a notification popup like this to direct you to Shopify market setting to manage this action

In case you want to **Unpublish or Remove all target languages in one click**, kindly follow these steps:
* Go to "**Market management**" menu → "**Languages**" tab → tick all the languages → Click "**Unpublish**" or "**Remove languages**" → Click "**Confirm**"

| When you click "Unpublish" or "Remove" all target languages, the system will remove all target languages except the default language. To remove the default language, you'll need to do this through your Shopify settings

|| Removing a target language will permanently delete all translations for that language. This data cannot be recovered. This is how Shopify's system works, so please proceed with caution before removing any languages

## 2. REMOVING THE TARGET LANGUAGE ON MARKETS SECTION

After setting up language on Markets menu, later then you want to remove a target language out of a specific market so you can do that in Markets menu

* Click on a specific market that you want to remove a target language out of this market → Hover a target language to see the **trash icon** → Remove the selected target language from this market.

|| Please note: If multiple markets share the same domain setting as the Primary market, any language you remove from one market will automatically be removed from all other markets using that domain

|| Please note that you cannot remove market's default language in Markets menu but you can only do that directly in Shopify market setting. Also removing the target language out of a specific market, it will not be removed on your store, it's just unpublished on the specific market. In case you want to remove it out of your store, please removing it on manage language section
