Yes, if you use editable language, you can translate checkout pages by following these steps. Transcy makes it straightforward to provide a multilingual checkout experience for your customers when everything is properly set up.


I. How to translate checkout page with Transcy?


Follow these simple steps to translate your checkout page:


→ Go to "Translation" → "Themes" in your Transcy dashboard

→ Click on "Theme content"

→ Find and select the box next to "Checkout & system"

→ Click to translate the checkout page elements

II. Technical considerations you need to know when translating checkout page


While Transcy supports checkout translation, there are essential technical requirements to be aware of:


Your language has to be editable.


Checkout pages can only be translated using Editable language types. Non-editable languages cannot translate checkout pages due to technical limitations in how these language sources integrate with Shopify's checkout system.


If you're currently using "Non-editable languages", you'll need to switch your language type from "Non-editable" to "Editable" first.


Content by third-party apps cannot be translated.


Due to Shopify's platform limitations, third-party app content cannot be translated on the checkout page. This is a restriction from Shopify itself, not Transcy.


Theme compatibility matters


Not all Shopify themes are compatible with checkout page translation. Some themes may have custom code or configurations that interfere with the translation process.
