Before you can translate any language with Gemini, that language must be set as "editable" in your Transcy settings. If your target language is currently non-editable, you'll need to switch it first. Learn how to switch from non-editable to editable language here.

1. Method 1: Pay-per-use (Without API key)
Who can use Gemini Translation (without API key): All paid Transcy users
Main benefit: Super easy setup - no technical configuration needed, just start translating right away.
How to use:
→ Go to the "Translation" section in your Transcy app
→ You will see in "Translate content" section
→ Select the content sources you want to translate
→ Click "Other" to search your engine
→ In the AI engine dropdown, click the "Gemini" icon
→ In the Confirm translation pop-up, press "Translate now"
2. Method 2: API Key
Who can use Gemini Translation with API key: Users with Premium plan (old plan) and above or Continental plan (new plan) and above.
Main benefit: More control over translation tone - you can customize how your translations sound to match your brand voice.
Step 1: Get your Gemini API key
→ Log in to your Google account
→ Visit the Gemini API landing page, then click "Get a Gemini API Key"
→ In Google AI Studio, choose "Create API key"
→ Select a project from your existing Google Cloud projects, then hit "Create API key in existing project"
→ Then your API key would be auto-generated
→ Copy the key for use in Transcy

→ Navigate "Localization settings"
→ In "Translation engines", choose "Gemini"
→ Then choose "Use your own API key" and enter your Gemini API key in the designated field
→ Choose your preferred "Tone" and "Gemini model"
→ Click "Save"
