Understand "Notifications" Resource and How to Translate in App

Want your customers to receive order confirmations and updates in their language? Transcy can translate Shopify's email notifications, ensuring your customers receive a fully localized experience from browsing to purchase confirmation.



I. What to Know About Translating Your Shopify Store's Email Notifications?


Since email notifications are synced with Shopify Markets, Transcy only supports translating them with editable language. This means your translations are both editable and indexed by Google. You'll be able to review and customize the content in your target language, ensuring better quality and SEO visibility.


Once you've translated email notifications, when customers place orders in any translated target language (Editable language), Transcy automatically connects with the order data to send properly translated email notifications.



II. How Email Notification Translation Works


Transcy pulls email notifications directly from Shopify, allowing you to translate and edit them within the app. After translation, if a customer orders in a target language, Transcy automatically sends the email in that language.


To access the "Notification" resources, you must have a Regional plan or higher, and it is only available for Editable languages.

III. How to Translate Email Notifications


Step 1: Access the "Edit translation" page


→ In the Transcy dashboard, go to "Translation"

→ In "Content translation", choose "Translate content"

→ In the resource list, find the "Notifications" resource, then click "Edit translation" (pencil icon)

Step 2: Translate content


Option 1: Use AI translation engines


  1. From the AI engines dropdown, choose one engine you want

  1. Click the "Translate Now" button to start translating the selected content


Click Translate Now to start AI translation.


  1. Then your translated content is automatically saved without extra action


Option 2: Manually input


  1. Input your translation and then click "Save" to apply

IV. Important Limitations


SMS notifications cannot be translated because Shopify no longer supports translatable fields for SMS templates.
