How will I be charged when upgrading/downgrading plans?

I. How Our Billing Works
Transcy uses Shopify's payment system for all subscription management. This means:

II. Upgrading Your Plan
When upgrading from a lower to a higher plan, you will be charged the prorated difference based on the remaining days in your current billing cycle, in accordance with Shopify's billing policy. For additional information, please reach out to Shopify support.
III. Downgrading Your Plan
Downgrade billing depends on whether you're on a monthly or annual plan:
Monthly Plans
When you switch to a lower plan, Shopify automatically provides an credit based on:
- Price difference between plans
- Number of days remaining in your billing cycle
This credit can be used for any future Shopify app purchases.
Annual Plans
If you downgrade from an annual plan, the new plan is deferred until your current annual subscription ends. So it's mean you can't downgrade to Monthly plan or Annual plan immediately, you need to wait until the end of your annual cycle subscription
Example:
- Current: Annual plan started in January
- Action: Switch to monthly plan in September
- Result: New monthly plan starts when annual plan expires in January (next year)
This follows Shopify's deferral policy for annual subscriptions.
IV. Important Billing Notes
Key Information About Your Billing:
➜ Billing starts after your trial period ends
➜ Monthly cycles last 30 days
➜ Annual cycles last 1 year
➜ Auto-renewal happens at the end of each cycle
➜ Charges appear in your Shopify monthly bill
