I. What You Need

You need at least a Growth plan to use this feature. It only works with Editable languages.

How many rules you can make:

  • Growth Plan: 100 rules
  • Premium Plan: 500 rules
  • Enterprise Plan: No limit

Want more? You can get more rules with a custom plan.

Remember: Making rules is step one! You still need to click Translate in Manage Translation to use your rules.

Note:When downgrading plan, your rules will match your new plan limits. Export Glossary rule is currently unavailable

II. How to Create Translation Rules

  • Publish & Apply Rule: Save and use your rule right away (only works with Google translations)

III. Extra Features

Capital Letters Matter?

Choose how your rule finds words:

  • Yes: Only finds exact match ("Orange" ≠ "orange")
  • No: Finds all versions ("Orange", "orange", "ORANGE")

Manage Your Rules

Edit your existing rules

  • Edit: Change one rule or many at once
  • Turn Off: Stop using a rule without deleting it

Edit many rules at once

IV. Fix Common Problems

When Rules Don't Work

Create translation first

Why rules not work:

  1. No translation yet: Click "Translate" first
  2. You edited the translation: Translate again to use your rule
  3. Different meaning: The app can't find the right word to change

If your Glossary rule not work, please kindly re-translate to get the rule applied

Things to Remember

Warning about duplicate rules

  • Word limit: Max 60 letters per word
  • No copies: Can't make the same rule twice
  • Special symbols: Doesn't work with ' ! # yet (we're fixing this)
  • Delete language: Removing a language removes its rules too
