What is Transcy Integration?

Wondering why "Transcy Integration" appears locked or unavailable in your dashboard? This feature is specifically designed for stores using compatible third-party apps and becomes available only under certain conditions.


I. When is Transcy Integration Available?


"Transcy Integration" feature is only unlocked when you're using third-party apps that meet these requirements:


  • Synced with Transcy's system as a dedicated translation resource
  • Support manual translation editing functionality


If you don't see this option or it appears locked, it means you're not currently using any compatible third-party apps that work with Transcy's integration system.


II. What Does Transcy Integration Do?


When available, Transcy Integration allows you to:

  • Manually edit translations from supported third-party apps
  • Have better control over how external app content appears in different languages
  • Ensure consistent translation quality across all your store elements


III. Two Types of Integration with Transcy


There are 2 types of integration with Transcy: Basic and Advanced.


Basic integration


Basic integration works through the "3rd-party app" auto-translation function: content is translated on-the-fly directly on your storefront using JavaScript, the moment a visitor loads the page. It is available on all plans, including Free, and requires no setup beyond enabling it per language.


Limitation: translations are generated live and not saved - you cannot view or edit them in Transcy's translation editor.

Advanced integration


Advanced integration means the app's content is synced into Transcy and translated as its own dedicated resource - giving you full manual editing control in Content translation -> Transcy Integration. This requires the language to be set as Editable, and is only available on paid plans (Local Plus and above).

Page builders (GemPages, EComposer) - a different case


GemPages Landing Page Builder and EComposer Landing Page Builder are not part of the "Transcy Integration" resource. They push content into your store's Theme, so Transcy translates them as Theme content (Custom content) instead - manage their translations under Content translation -> Theme -> Custom content, not under Transcy Integration.

Transcy can only translate content from the apps listed above ONLY by using "3rd-party app" function. Without being included in this compatibility list, Transcy cannot access or translate content from other apps, as those apps do not permit their content to be synced into Transcy's translation system.
