FAQ: How to Disable Currency Conversion in Transcy

If you want to turn off the currency conversion feature in your store, there are two main steps you can take. The first is to turn off the Switcher currency display, and the second is to remove the Transcy currency code entirely.

Step 1: Turn Off Currency Switcher

To disable the currency switcher while keeping other features active:

→ Go to "Switcher" in your Transcy app

→ Click "Advance"

→ Scroll down to "Customization"

→ Select "Switcher" and "Selectors"

→ Navigate to "Display"

→ Select "Element to show", choose "Only language"

Step 2: Remove Currency Code

Sometimes, due to store configuration conflicts with the Transcy app, the currency code may not work properly or cause errors. In these cases, removing the currency code from your store settings can resolve the issue.

Access Shopify Currency Settings

→ Go to Settings in Shopify

→ Select General

→ Navigate to Store defaults

→ Click "Change currency formatting"

Remove Currency Code

Click on both HTML with currency and HTML without currency sections:

HTML with currency:

Remove the span class code: <span class="transcy-currency"> and </span>

HTML without currency:

Follow the same steps as HTML with currency section
