FAQ: Why are some contents, languages are not translated?

There are a couple of reasons why some languages, contents, parts of your store may not be translating

1. Translation statuses in manage translation

  • Partly translated: there're some contents with Untranslated and Translated
  • Translation outdated: you've changed default content, but you have not updated its translation, so it need to be re-translated to update new translation
  • Untranslated: content is not yet translated or given translation is synced from Shopify

You need to filter the resources with these status "Translation outdated" and "Untranslated" and re-translate it to make the translation appear

NotePlease be advised that Google auto-translate (on by default) translates storefront text that has no translation yet, without any action in the app. The status only applies to the translations you save in the app. We recommend keeping it on.

2. How to turn on Google auto-translate

  • This function translates the storefront text that has no translation yet, as the page loads. On product pages, a product title or description you translated in Transcy is kept. Please go to "Market management" menu --> tap "Languages" --> click on a specific target language on the list --> click on three dots "..." to select "Turn on Google auto-translate"

  • Please be advised that in case you want to edit your translation manually. Please go "Content translation" → then select on the needed resource → Click on the icon "pencil" to edit. For more details can refer on this article
