Why is your plugin (switcher) not working?

The Transcy language/currency switcher is a crucial tool for providing a localized experience for your international customers. If you're encountering issues with the switcher not displaying or functioning correctly, here's a simple troubleshooting guide to help you resolve the problem:


1. Verify App Embeds are Enabled:


The most common reason for a non-functioning switcher is that the necessary app embeds are disabled within your Shopify theme settings.


  • Navigate to your Shopify admin panel.
  • Go to "Online Store" > "Themes."
  • Click "Customize" on your active theme.
  • In the theme editor, look for "App embeds" or a similar section (the exact name may vary depending on your theme).
  • Ensure that the Transcy app embed is enabled (the toggle switch should be turned on).
  • Save your changes


2. Confirm Switcher Display Mode is Set to "Everyone":


Transcy offers different display modes for the switcher. If it's not set to "Everyone," it might not be visible to all visitors.

  • Open your Transcy app within your Shopify admin.
  • Go to the "Switcher" settings.
  • Locate the "Display Mode" setting.
  • Ensure it is set to "Everyone."
  • Save your changes.
