Our convenient Deactivate feature allows you to temporarily stop your subscription fees while keeping the app installed in your Shopify admin. I. Understanding Transcy's Deactivation Feature


1. What is app deactivation?


Transcy's Deactivate feature offers you the flexibility to temporarily pause your subscription payments while keeping the app installed in your Shopify admin. This preserves all your translation data and settings for when you're ready to use the app again.


2. Subscription type compatibility


The Deactivate option is specially designed for monthly subscription users.


Note: If you're on an annual plan, you have two options:Wait until the end of your billing cycleUninstall the app altogether if immediate deactivation is needed.



II. How to Deactivate Your Transcy App?


Step 1: Accessing deactivation settings


  1. In the Transcy dashboard, navigate to "Account & Settings"
  2. In Account, select "General Settings"
  3. Here you'll see the Deactivate app tab with the "Deactive" button - click it

Step 2: Confirming your choice


After choosing to deactivate, a confirmation pop-up will appear to approve your choice.


  • Before proceeding, we recommend carefully reviewing the deactivation information presented on screen to ensure you understand exactly what changes will occur in your store.

  • Then, you'll have the opportunity to share the reason for pausing your subscription. We're constantly working to improve Transcy! Your insights help us enhance the app and better meet your needs when you return.

III. What Happens After Deactivation?


  • After deactivation, the Transcy language switcher will no longer appear on your storefront. Your customers will only see your store's default language.
  • All your settings and translation data will be safe on our servers as long as you continue to install the app in the Shopify admin.
  • If you deactivate during your trial period, we'll save your remaining trial days! When you reactivate, you can continue using your remaining trial days before needing to select a paid plan.



IV. How to Reactivate the App?


After the app is in inactive mode, you will see a pop-up: "Reactivate your account to restore all of your settings and translations. A new journey awaits, let us be with you!" after logging in to the app.


To reactivate:


  1. Press "Reactivate" to activate the app again

  2. From here, select your desired plan and approve the charge to start the subscription
