FAQ: What content does Transcy translate for Payment Gateway Page?
In some cases, you want to translate the content of the Payment Gateway. Transcy only supports translating the names of payment methods such as Cash on delivery, Credit Card, PayPal, Bogus, etc.
Current Limitations
Since all payment methods are managed directly by Shopify's system, Transcy cannot access the internal content of these methods. This means:
- Only payment method names can be translated on the checkout page
- Payment method details must be changed directly in Shopify
- Additional fields or instructions within payment methods cannot be updated through Transcy
How to Translate Payment Method Names
Example: If your default language is English and you use COD (Cash on Delivery), you can find this method name in the Payments resource.
→ Go to "Translation" on the left tab Transcy dashboard
→ Navigate "Translate content"
→ Choose Payments
Managing Additional Payment Details
Please note that additional content inside payment methods cannot be edited in Transcy since these are "Additional" and "Instructions" fields controlled by Shopify. You can only change and edit these fields directly in your Shopify settings.
