FAQ: Why my Glossary rule not working
Having trouble with Glossary rules not applying to your translations? Here are the most common reasons and how to fix them.
My Glossary rule isn't working - what's wrong?
The main reasons why your Glossary rule might not apply after clicking "Publish & Apply Rule":
Reason: You don't have in-app translations yet
Problem: Your content hasn't been translated through Transcy's system.
Solution: Create in-app translations first:
→ Click "Translate with AI" → Choose your AI engines to generate new translations
→ This will create translations that can work with your Glossary rules

How can I avoid these issues in the future?
Best practice: Set up your Glossary rules before doing large translation batches. This way, new translations will automatically follow your rules from the start.
Do I need to re-translate everything?
No! You only need to re-translate content where the Glossary rule isn't applying. Other translations can stay as they are. Glossary rules only apply to translations created after the rules are set up, so any content translated beforehand must be re-translated to reflect the updated glossary.
